Genesis 11-12 Doing a backflip back to Genesis from Job again!
Highlight a passage – “Go! I will make you a great nation and I will bless you, SO THAT, you will be a blessing.
Explain what it means – God tells us this so we will know that He has plans and purpose for us!
Apply it to your life – Respond to God’s commands! God promised Abe a great nation and many descendants even when they were childless!
Respond – Lord, forgive me for my lack of obedience. Forgive me of my selfish actions that lead you to have to rescue me from myself. Again. Amen.
Truth to Remember – God’s blessing are conditional on our obedience. One follows the other.
Don’t forget to remember:
1) to always give God the glory!
2) to always point others to Him!
3) that confession comes before worship just as blessings follow our obedience.
