That’s what the 8 day How to D.I.S.C.E.R.N. The journey is all about: learning to pause, pray, and perceive God’s direction through His Word. Each day focuses on one practical step to help you listen for His voice and respond in faith.
The acronym D.I.S.C.E.R.N. helps make this simple and memorable:
D – Devote yourself to prayer
I – Invite the Holy Spirit to lead
S – Seek wisdom above all
C – Consider God’s Word carefully
E – Examine everything carefully
R – Rest in God’s peace
N – Navigate by faith, not fear
Discernment isn’t about decoding a mystery—it’s about deepening your relationship with the God who promises to guide your steps.

Day 1: Trust God’s Wisdom
Verse: Proverbs 3:5–6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Day 2: Seek God’s Will, Not Just Your Wants
Verse: Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Day 3: Pray for Clear Discernment

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
Day 4: Listen for God’s Voice
