At what is the most wonderful time of year, I have several friends going through many difficult trials right now; health struggles that never seem to heal; diagnosis’ that come back after you thought they were healed; new found illnesses that come with a sentence of just months left; parents slowly fading away while on hospice.
It’s all too much and when there are times like these, there are just no words…only moanings and groanings from the doorstep of our souls to pray on their behalf.
So for these friends and their family and loved ones, here are some Scriptures and a Bible Bite and to hide in your heart for when you have no words of your own and a Prayer Bite for when you can’t find the words of your own to pray.
Never leave us (Hebrews 13:5)
Our refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1)
Working all things for good (Romans 8:28)
Open our hearts to Your peace (Philippians 4:7)
Remind us of Your presence (Psalm 23:4)
Draw near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18)
Speak for us when we cannot (Romans 8:26)
Lord, I come before You without words, just a heavy heart. Thank You for never leaving me and for being my refuge. I trust that You are working even in this pain and unknown future, and I ask for Your peace to guard my heart. Thank You for drawing near to me in my brokenness and for the Spirit who speaks when I cannot. Hold me close, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
